Have assorted sizes of kindling, and fuel set up and sorted by size
before you light your tinder.
Have some kindling over your tinder before you light
it (only a few pieces)
When you light, you shouldn't have to gather any more kindling, or small
fuel. You should be able to establish a fire with what you have on hand
to burn.
