[Philmont] Trek #11 anyone?

Thanks - great info I am sharing with our crew. Hmm . . . 38 degree shower - think I'll just wait on that one . . .

  We did Trek 23 which follows the same basic loop as 11. What do you want to know? Some highlights and advice from Trek 23:

    a.. The sunrise from our campsite at Vaca was very nice
    b.. The staff at Harlan were very nice and shotguns are fun
    c.. Our crew loved "Hotel Cito", and had the climbing gym to themselves for about an hour
    d.. The "wood stoked" showers at Cyper's were not wood stoked - temp was about 38 degrees
    e.. Black powder rifles are fun
    f.. Porcupine Camp should be called Mini Bear Camp; be sure to do program at Crooked Creek
    g.. Beaubien was like a summer camp; do your cons project at Cito if you can since time is short with all you'll want to do here
    h.. Be sure to do spar pole climbing at Crater Lake on the way to North Fork Urraca
    i.. Leave early for the hike in over the Tooth

  I know Kirk posted - thanks that was wonderful! Has anyone else "been there and back" on trek #11? We leave next Wednesday and I would love to hear your report!
