[Philmont] Fwd: Anyone want to go to Philmont NEXT WEEK?!

two alternatives
rent-a-ranger program that I have heard bandied about
and partnering with another crew who has not enough scouts for a full crew but enough
adults?

At my 30th high school reunion a few weeks ago in a suburb of St.
Paul, Minnesota, I was talking to a classmate about Philmont.
(I've never been there yet, but we hope to go in 2010.)

Anyway, he just emailed me saying that his crew is in need of an
adult so they don't have to cancel the trip! And they leave
Monday, July 28!!

Two of the adults who were supposed to go now can't. One has a
back injury, and the other doesn't think he'll be able to lose
enough weight in the next eight days to pass the physical. :-/

He invited me, but I'm out of vacation time. I asked him if I
should ask the big Scouts-L email list, and he said, "Sure!"

That's all I know. Anyone interested? (BTW, are there other
alternatives for crews who suddenly find themselves short one
adult?)
