Some things I want to point out:
First, 2011 is ALSO a jambo year - World Scout Jamboree in Sweden.
Second, look at numbers. No matter how small your council, the
Number of your total youth, those going to the council Philmont
Contingent AND the council Jambo contingent COMBINED are going
To be a small fraction. Sure, there is *some* overlap, but it
Is going to be a relatively small percentage.
Third, the eligibility between the two is not the same. For
Jambo, youth participants (and council can actually have
Their policy on this) are from 12 to 17. For Philmont,
Youth participants are from 14 to 20 (yeah, I know, the 18-20
Crowd can go both ways), so you have not got a 1 for 1 overlap.
Fourth, the NEXT national jambo will be 2013, so you are going
To have to move your year *again* the next time.

So, I don't think you should move it.
