My son and I have been once, in 2007, and we are signed up for 2009
contingent. I really didn't know what to expect. not for lack of trying to
figure it out, but it is only an experience you can have by being there,
even though there are great descriptions of it.

For me, beiing with my son for that time, and the rest of the crew, were
unlike any I have ever experienced. Though we did call home a few times
from the peaks, we were so disconnected and relaxed, yet ever present of the
toils ahead. Like the trip up Trail Peak from Fowler Pass, the trip up and
down Mt Phillips from Clear creek to Cyphers, the trip from Webster Parks
to Tooth ridge camp, which really tested all of our endurance, and
patience. The feeling, pensive in a way, heading down tooth ridge to the
"We made it gate". The flood of emotions at the gate, and even more when we
were back at the welcome center.

All good, it was all good, even the bad parts,
