No special license is required to drive an RV to Philmont. There is,
however, a special permit required if you plan on driving it up Mt.
Phillips. ;-)

 

If it's a serious question about tour permits, it's my understanding that a
Commercial Drivers License (CDL) is required for vehicles carrying "more"
than 15 passengers. You should be fine.

 

Unless your RV is VERY LARGE! I've seen some that look like they could
carry more than 15 individuals.

 

But be advised, schlepping an RV around in a backpack is serious work and
you might have a difficult time finding a spot for it at some camps -
Lambert's Mine come quickly to mind. BTW, Lambert's Mine isn't too far from
Mt. Phillips.
