Every one will be different.
We each carried the bottom of a bleach bottle to use as our sink. ( it weighs nothing and was also a convenient way to?keep small?items together in your back).
We encouraged sponge baths every day we did not have showers and we washed clothles in our "sink" every single day.
We each carried the smaller bottle we had bought at Campmor and we used almost all of it.
For us the sponge bath and the clean clothles every day was a refreshing way to end a lond hot day.
I will tell you I have done 2 treks and I would do it again exactly the same way>

Subject: [Philmont] Amount of CampSuds needed for Expedition
We probably used about 5% of the bottle of campsuds we were given.
We used much more of hte hand sanitizer.
?
I'd say if you could get a smaller (much) bottle of campsuds at home, you could save the weight.
?
Bring extra?? No way.

I understand they give you a bottle of camp suds with your initial provisions at basecamp.? Do you need additional Camp Suds for a 12 person crew?? I was thinking at least a couple other bottles would be helpful to make sharing the ONE BOTTLE less of a bottleneck.
Ideas?
