That is a fair point. We kept ours in a ziplock so if it leaked
it would be contained. We make it a point to keep *all* liquids
in a secondary container (typically a ziploc) as spills on the
trail are not real handy.

My comment was directed more at the volume provided, however.
It only takes a drop for a pot, or for personal gear, or to
take a shower, or to wash your clothes and
it takes a lot of drops to use a bottle.

That is another point that should go in crew training. Youth,
and not a few adults, often seem to think if some is good, more
is better. So, if you bring bug spray, no matter how much
you bring, if you have bugs, and the boys aren't trained not to
do it, they'll use up whatever you bring in the first five minutes
on the theory that if a little helps, more helps more. They will
do the same with most consumables, including toilet paper, so
one area an advisor can really have an impact is helping the youth
understand that more is not always better.

ps, I really try to discourage bug spray regardless how many there
are. Limited time they are out, and very limited effectiveness.
