Just a comment... We augment the PCT method with a lightweight "real"
climbing type caribiner on top and a medium sized "walmart" caribiner in
place of the stick. Agree on counterbalance with a full load. Requires
pulling up much less weight since the other 1/2 of weight is helping you,
not hurting you.
