Susan
I have been wanting to try
http://sports-imports.stores.yahoo.net/aaoraaasobac.html
My crewmates brought their regular digital camera --and we brought extra batteries
One fella who was concerned about weight (well, maybe it was really money)
Got a disposable camera.
Unless, your husband is a real shutterbug make sure that he has 3 loads of batteries
(your son can carry one pack) and make sure he has 2 memory chips of at least 1 gig each
that would take care of most shutterbugs and is a little over kill -- he will not be the only one taking pictures and Scouts SHARE
All this is assuming that you already have a digital camera; please forgive me if that is assuming too much
