I've found that that the eLithium Energizers work great in my Garmin GPS and
AA cameras ... not rechargeable, but great for an environment like PSR. My
experience with rechargables, like the panasonic nmih is good but they come
in various mah ratings, 2300 being better than 1900 being better than 1600.
rechargeables seem to be more temperature sensitive and fall off quick, the
lithiums are just awesome.

In the end I've taken cameras with proprietary lithium batteries and have
purchased sufficent spares to cover anticipated use. 10 hours of battery
life is a long time. Invest in enough memory so that edit/view/delete is
not needed in the back country ... you will chew up way more battery looking
at pics than taking them. Memory is cheap.

My opinion and experience, just mine. Share yours, dont criticize mine :-).
